When it comes to what my baby is sleeping on, I am very careful about what we use because there is so much information out there regarding risks of SIDs and chemicals leaching off products causing your infant harm. So it wasn't a hard decision to go organic cotton for the sheets our baby is going to sleep on because we wanted to avoid as much contact as possible with any harmful chemicals that could be lurking in the material of which he will likely be spending (hopefully) have his days on!

My Little North Star Organic Jersey Cotton Fitted Crib Sheets sheets come in a pack of two and are made of knitted organic cotton and is measured in GSM (grams per Square Meters) coming in at 130 GSM. These organic sheets are pesticide free and made of 100% GOTS certified organic cotton. They are hypoallergenic, unbleached, and free from all the nasty and harsh chemicals used with regular cotton. Not only is this better for your infant, it is also better for the environment.
For reference, we have the Colgate Eco Classica III mattress and this sheet set fit nice and snug over the mattress. The sheets measure 28" x 52" and fits mattresses up to 9" deep. Just note that since our mattress is not very deep, the edge does pucker a little in the picture shown below, but the sheet is still snug around the whole mattress. All the sheets we have end up looking like this around the corners, so don't fret!
You can see from the photo that the fitted crib sheets have an elastic band around the entire edge to reduce the risk of the sheets being pulled up and becoming a hazard for your sleeping infant.
