SoundBot SB520 3D HD Bluetooth 4.0 Wireless Speaker

When you're cooking and cleaning around the home, it gets pretty arduous and boring. How do I spice it up? I crank up the music. I use to download music but now-a-days, Spotify and Pandora really fit the bill for music variety while letting me use my downloading time more wisely...like watching TV.  Those measly speakers on my mobile phone, however, do not cut it. The sound is horrible. Even on my laptop, the speakers are not great for music. So what do you do? Get a bluetooth wireless speaker, naturally.

SoundBot's bluetooth wireless speaker is nothing short of fabulous. Below are some of the features of this portable workhorse:

Connection range: 33 feet

What do I think? I absolutely recommend these speakers, especially for music. The base is powerful for this little thing! I can hear music throughout the house and the sound quality is phenomenal. I have only used this to connect via bluetooth so I don't know about the aux connection, but I like that this is available for when other people come over and want to plug in their music without having to fuss over connecting their phone to my stereo. The setup was extremely simple. Especially if you've used bluetooth technology before. You literally turn on the speakers, then scan bluetooth nearby on your phone or laptop and SB520 pops up immediately and you connect with it and it works.

Drawbacks? Battery meter display only works for iOS and not android platforms. I would have loved to be able to see the battery meter on my phone or laptop. I do wish there was a separate button for volume control rather than having to press and hold. Since there are only 3 buttons, each button has more than one function.  Unfortunately, my brain just does not have the capacity to remember everything about each electronic device and I would have liked to have each button have just one function so it is more intuitive and user friendly.

While the sound is absolutely fantastic for music, I found that it isn't as great for connecting to my laptop to watch a movie or show. The sound comes out a little bass-y...if that is even a word. But still better than my laptop speakers!
