These wax earplugs come in a pack of 12 and are made in Germany. I happened to be traveling in Europe when I came across these after researching online that these were a favorite and stayed in your ear overnight. I've bought some 3M foam earplugs that kept falling out of my ear in the middle of the night so I looked up some recommended types and found Ohropax in a drugstore. You can purchase these on Amazon for about $8.50 (prices fluctuate on Amazon), but I got mine for 3.95 euros. These are made of a wax compound that is wrapped in pink cotton. In addition for them being used as a noise barrier, they are used to keep water out as well. They are supposed to be used once and thrown out as you cannot wash them, but I used mine more than once. They should probably be tossed out once they are no longer sticky and seal well to your ear.
You warm up the nugget between your fingers and roll it into a ball.
Once you have it in a shape of a ball, the wax is already soft and pliable to shape and contour into the crevices of your external ear. You stick the ball at the external ear canal and sort of flatten/spread it around until you don't hear anything!!
Note. What the wax piece looks like when you take it out. It is important to note that you must be careful popping it out. You push up behind your ear, towards the bottom, to loosen the wax. Improper use can damage your eardrums.
