The Friendly Swede is a relatively small and new company that was established in 2011. They are based in Sweden and much of their line cover outdoor activities. Their products are all covered by "The Friendly Swede Lifetime Warranty." This means that if there is any issues with their product, they will replace it or provide a full refund. This hat is great for hiking, traveling, sport events and any other outdoor activity you do. It is highly packable, making it great for traveling. Like most of their products, these also come in a pack of 2. One for you and one for someone else, or one for you and two for you! The second being a backup after the first one wears out!
The hat is made of 100% polyester with the inside panel being 100% cotton, helping absorb excess perspiration. The hat as drawstring so it can be adjusted to fit. The hats feature a mesh panel that allows for airflow and ventilation, helping cool your head. The hat is 19cm in diameter, but you can make it smaller by using the adjustable drawstrings.
Verdict? These are comfortable and well made outdoor hats! I see hats like these selling for a lot more than just $12.99 for not one, but TWO! Although it does not have actual UV blocking fabric, it does a good job of blocking sun and giving you shade. We use it in the garden from time to time. Very functional hats, but it does look a little unflattering on me (the picky one). My husband loves it and feels that it fits his needs perfectly.
