If you love makeup, then must have already heard about this highly talked about chubby crayon that resembles Tarte's LipSurgence Lip Tint. I purchased this from my local Target after seeing so many advertisements for this Tarte dupe. I'm a sucker for ads, especially ones with my favorite actresses (Emma Stone). The balm comes in a fun twist up chubby crayon. I picked the color rendezvous because I'm really into coral these days. Even though winter is coming, I live in Southern California. Our winters are considered summer for other states. Although the color of the lip crayon looks ridiculously loud, I promise, it looks very muted on your lips if you only apply sparingly. The color is just lovely. When lightly applied, it gives a sheer tint of color that almost looks natural. If you want heavier color for night time wear, this is very buildable. The consistency is quite light, just like a lip balm.
The balm smells a little minty. I was a little surprised of the smell because it wasn't what I was expecting. I don't know what I was expecting, though. The slight minty smells vanishes quickly.
The only draw back is if you have dry lips. I tend to have dry lips, so I have to exfoliate before using this of it will settle into the edges of the flakey skin and it is noticeable up close.
Revlon Just Bitten at $7.49 for 0.095 oz
Tarte LipSurgence at $24 for 0.1 oz
Overall? It's a no brainer, repurchase! I'll probably collect them all!
