Mehron Celebré Pro HD Cream Make-Up Review

mehron HD foundation

I heard about Mehron makeup for the first time from makeup guru Wayne Goss' youtube channel. He raved about this product, and all cream foundations for that matter, and its versatility of being applied sheer or full coverage.  Now, a little bit about my skin.  While I have a ton of imperfections...and I mean a ton...I really like makeup that looks like skin and not a mask.  Sheer makeup that covers as all my scars, partially, is what I would like on a daily basis.  BUT, I also like the option of going full coverage for special events like weddings.  I am also blessed with a very oily t-zone. acne prone skin and pitted scars! Anyway, on with the review and lots of pictures...

From left to right: ME1, ME2, ME3, ME4.  I have Asian skin with a neutral undertone (I think) because every time those MUA put "warm" tones on me (since I am Asian and they assume I have yellow in my skin), I look like I have jaundice. But when they tried pink...I just look ashy and a little pink! Neutral undertones has suited me well thus far.

Packaging: it has a twist off cap that makes sure the jar is air tight.  This is a given for any foundation that has the possibility of drying out, though. I wasn't impressed with the packaging for 2 reasons. One, it looks cheap. Two, it feels cheap too. What really matters is the product, but having nice sturdy packaging is always nice.

As you can see, the colors remain relatively consistent in all the few different lighting I tried.  I am between the ME1 and ME2.  ME1 currently matches me best.  In the summer, I'm betting I am either a mix between the two or just ME2.  I tan pretty quickly. The staying power is very good as long as you set the powder.  I've never gone without setting powder for liquids because I get extremely shiny in a matter of hours. Although I have an oily t zone, I have dry patches near my nose and mouth area.  I didn't find that this accentuated any of the dryness.  I used a primer before putting this on because it was hard to wash the swatches off.  The beauty blender applies this cream like a dream!

0 hours

0 hours: here is how it looks right after it was applied. It covers my scars pretty well considering how little I used.  I sheered this down a lot and barely dabbed my wet sponge into the jar and it covered very well!

8 hours

4 hours: after four hours, minimal shine, if any

$12.95 for 0.9 oz (25 gm)

Overall?
The application was fairly easy for an amateur like me and the staying power was great for the amount of product used.  I definitely think this is a bargain, but I haven't used it long enough to know if it'll cause break outs for me.  I will update this if it does! I would definitely repurchase when I run out.
