This inflatable e-collar worked well for my pup. She constantly licked her lower abdomen and the plastic cones make her miserable. If a dogs are able to express depression, I am certain it is what she looks like when we put this on her. With this inflatable e-collar, she is much more comfortable. She almost wears it like a travel neck pillow when she is laying down. This barrier was enough to keep her from licking her lower abdomen. This cone is also great because it doesn't obstruct her peripheral vision and she doesn't crash into furniture around the house!!
She's not exactly happy about this.
This is quite an effective e-collar for those who would like to avoid the cone of shame.

Update:
After using this for a longer period of time, I don't know if I'd recommend this for everyone. She is still able lick about 1/3rd of her lower body. It does help for licking/gnawing her upper trunk. She still has access to her front legs but not the "armpits" where she licks the most and gives herself hot spots (the main reason I use this cone). At this point, I have to keep looking for a better alternative!
