This pet playpen is great for bringing your dog outdoors to a picnic in the park. Instead of having them on a leash, you can put them in a playpen! This playpen comes with stakes that you can stake into the ground. Although, if you have your dog in there, that's probably enough weight to keep it on the ground.  The product I am reviewing is the 43" playpen.

The playpen comes with a nice carrying case.

This playpen is extremely compact!!

This is what it looks like while you are opening the playpen up for the first time, all nice and neat inside. Too bad I couldn't get it back to this state afterwards!  All you do is pull it open and it sort of just pops into place.

Once it is fully open, you can see the top is half mesh, half opaque nylon. The nylon part is for shade when you are outdoors and the added mesh is for security when it is all zipped up so there are no escaping pets.

The playpen features 2 double zippered doors and fabric magic tapes to keep door open so your dog can go in and out (if you want them to be able to do that).  The playpen is outfitted with special steel wire frame that makes setup and storage semi-easy.   This playpen has 8 sides, shaped like an octagon, and is big enough for my 20lb cockapoo.

The playpen is 43" in diameter by 22.8" in height.  They come in 3 colors: pink, blue, and brown.  The bottom of the playpen is also water resistant, great for when the grass is wet.

Putting it back was the hard part. We followed the directions but it still ended up looking like this.  So we just stuffed it back in the carrying case! At least it fit.

Verdict? I think this product does exactly what it says it does. Based on that, I'd highly recommend this if this is what you are looking for.  But, I want to be honest. When I saw this expanded, I thought, this would be GREAT for an infant that is starting to crawl (obviously this would not work if they are standing and walking)! This is really portable, I can take it anywhere, and I can close up all the zippers and not be worried he/she will crawl away! It'll look crazy because it says its for a pet...but I think this would be a good fit for babies outdoors!  If you do have your dog in here, make sure everything is zipped up if you aren't planning to watch them. They can easily escape otherwise!! Overall, I am happy with the product!
