These socks keep feet sweat at bay and is supposed to last 70 washes. Afterwards, they are just another pair of socks (no treatment). I'll still wear them for non-bug hiking or in the winter with my boots.
These socks are treated with "Insect Shield" and per their site "the treatment is bound to fabric fibers, so it stays in your clothes—not on your skin—and lasts through 70 washes. Ants, flies, chiggers, midges, and ticks don’t like it, and neither do mosquitoes, which can transmit insect-borne diseases such as Zika, Chikungunya, dengue, and West Nile viruses."
The socks are made and treated in the USA (YAY!) and feature a turn-welt top, built in arch support, and ventilated toe panel.
