The Alpsy money belt can be worn over-clothing or hidden under clothes. But who is really going to wear it over their clothes? Afterall, this is only worn by travelers not wishing to be mugged!! The company offers an RFID blocking sleeve (275 GSM) only if you ask them for it. Which is definitely an extra step most people (me!) may find inconvenient. The pouch is able to store your US passport and a few credit cards. AND if you got your Alpsy money belt bag already and forgot to ask for this (me!), you just need to send them a message and they will send you free RFID protector. The company will be including this protector sleeve in the future (per their description). I contacted the company and a director of the Alpsy group verified that all orders placed next week, Sept 14, 2015, and forward will automatically include the RFID sleeves.
Alpsy RFID blocking sleeves are SGS certified. The size of the sleeve is (14 x 9.7cm) 5.5” x 3.8”. RFID card and passport blocking sleeve prevents RFID enabled credit cards, debit cards, passports, ID cards, drivers’ licenses and all RFID smart cards from data being illegally scanned. The RFID sleeve is tear resistant, water resistant and has lifetime of about 10 years. It also protects much better than woven lining blocking fabric which is not so effective-they should have at least double lining in order to be effective.

This slim money belt is water resistant, not waterproof. It has 2 zippered compartments and an opening in the back (pictured below) where you can store items as well. I would recommend not storing anything you don't want wet because if you are wearing this all day in sweltering heat, backpacking around, you can bet the contents under that mesh area will get damp and a little wet too.
The Alpsy waist pouch Travel Wallet comes in 4 colors: black, khaki (beige-ish), black onyx, or grey. I received the khaki colored version of this money belt because I feel that it would be more conspicuous as it (sort of) matches my skin tone. When wearing a white shirt, a black belt can easily be spotted.
The belt buckle of this money belt has it's pros and cons. The pros is that it is very well made and heavy duty. It will likely never ever break on you. The drawback? It is bulky, which is synonymous for heavy!
Alpsy products also state that they have a "hassle free, 100% Money Back Guarantee or Free Replacement of the purchased item."
Verdict? This is a very well made product. It does not feel flimsy and the elastic feels as though it may never break. Given this, it is a heavier pouch than some other money belts made by other companies. I would still highly recommend this money belt because it is so well made and the customer service I've received has been stellar.
