Cable Clip Organize: Blue Key World vs Beluga

Blue Key World Cable Organizer

Blue Key World makes these eco-friendly, sturdy, cable organizers.  If you buy 4 sets, you get free shipping on Amazon (or if you have prime, you have free shipping...always).  Each set contains 6 pieces.  I constantly have cords falling off my night stand and I have to search for them on the ground.  It's a mess next to my night stand!  These clips really help organize the mess and make it easier for me to grab my phone charger every night.

These clips are made of TPR and are SGS certified, read: they should last you a long time, or as long as the sticky back lasts!  They will stick on all surfaces: plastic, wood, glass, rubber, metal...etc.

The channel on this clip is pretty big so it can fit some large cords. It fit my desktop monitor cord with room to spare (albeit tiny) and you are still able to side the cord smoothly.  You can stick these anywhere, so installation is a breeze.  Even though the channel is big, the opening is small so you can still use this with tiny cords.  The sticky on the back is the size of a quarter, and the overall clip is just a smidge larger than that, so you can approximate the clip size as just a smidge bigger than a quarter!

Beluga Cable Organizer

I love all the fun colors Beluga comes in! I also love the company name simply because it reminds me a beluga whales, and they are cute. These come in a package of 6 and they have a different design than Blue Key World. They are much flatter and a big wider than Blue Key World's clips (more pictures and comparisons below).  They offer a two slot channel for cables that can fit small to medium sized wires.  These would not fit my desktop monitor's thick cable.  The description mentions that it should hold wires up to a quarter inch in diameter in each channel.

Each clip is approximately 1.4 inches in diameter and half an inch thick and have a stick 3M back.  They will adhere to any smooth and clean surface.  Mine have not fallen off any surfaces I've stuck them on so far.  The only drawback is that it can only fit thin wires, and for some, they may not love the bright colors. Lucky for me, I love bright colors!!

The comparison:

You can see the comparison of the size of cables each one of these will fit. Beluga is a bit flatter and the cords that fit in must be smaller in diameter of each channel whereas Blue Key World has a large channel for wire(s). I can fit two thin cords in the Blue Key World, even though it only has one opening for cord(s).  Beluga, you'd just have to put one more each.

The Beluga sticky is made of 3M. I've liked most of 3M's adhesives because they don't tear off a layer of whatever its on, at least historically.  I feel more confident of the sticky for Beluga than Blue Key World, only because it doesn't say what whether it is 3M or not.  I worry a little that it will take a layer off or leave a ton of residue.  I'd stick it under a desk instead of on top, or to a wall, if I could for these reasons.

Verdict? I love both of these for different reasons. I like Blue Key World's clip because it will hold my thick cables, but I really don't have THAT many thick cables, but enough to warrant buying a set of these.  I also like Beluga's design because it looks nice, but isn't able to hold thick cables.  Beluga's clips, I can put out in plain sight because I like the colors, whereas Blue Key World's are more functional and I can put then a big more hidden so there's not stick wire holders all over my desk and night stand.  In order to really organize your wires, I recommend both these items as they both have different uses.

Blue Key World's purchase on Amazon, currently priced at $9.85.
Beluga purchase on Amazon, currently priced at $7.50.
