Travelsox Graduated Compression Socks by Vitalsox

Vitalsox is a high-tech brand of socks and underwear made in Italy by Arcos S.p.A., a dynamic Italian producer of wear, underwear, socks and accessories for all kind of sports, work, leisure, fashion and healthcare. Vitalsox socks have large appeal because they are made for racing/ recovery, for enthusiasts of court and open air sports, and are ideal as everyday high-quality socks.

The Travelsox TS6000 Patented Graduated Compression Performance socks are made of 75% polypropylene silver drystat. In layman terms, it means it keeps your feet dry after a long sweaty day at work, in the gym, or during a 14 hour flight.  These socks were designed in Italy for travelers.  These compression socks stimulate blood flow back towards the heart and helps reduce swelling by decreasing fluid buildup on the lower extremities from inactivity.

These socks feature a gradual compression, which is unlike other socks that are, generally, uniform in "tightness." These socks are machine washable and line dried.  I am not a fan this particular pair because it feels really tight only on the top edge of the sock and it doesn't feel as if there is even compression through the sock.

These sock are very similar to the TS6000. They are also made by Vitalsox and comprises of 70% Silver Drystat, 10% Spandex, 10% Lycra, and 10% Nylon.  They are developed in Italy.

These socks are very lightweight and have a supportive padded footbed.  There is also a thin mesh strip that runs from the middle of the top of the foot to the bottom cuff to provide ventilation.  The graduated compression is highest from the mid-foot to the top of the ankle and provides stimulation to increase blood flow, circulation, and decrease in swelling.

These socks are incredible for a long day on your feet. As a therapist working in a hospital, I am on my feet a lot. These socks really help add another layer of support.  This design relieves some pressure on my heel (problems of a person with flat feet!). These socks made a noticeable difference in comfort when I am wearing them to work.

I received a size small and typically wear a size 7.5 to 8.  This size fit perfectly on my legs and were not too long.  It is important that compression socks end just below your knee joint, where it bends, so that when you move around, it doesn't get scrunched up.  It is not advisable to have compression socks bunch up (or folded) because it increases the pressure of the compression at a particular area and may do the opposite of what it is supposed to do and keep blood and fluids pooling in your lower extremity.  It is best to keep the sock free of folds to reduce the risk of any skin irritation.

This is the sizing chart for the VT1211.

Due to the stretchability of the sock, if your shoe size is between sizes, choose the smaller.
